Biography

Dr. Anup did his Master in Surgery (M.S) degree in 1990 from VSS Medical College, Sambalpur, Orissa, India. After gaining proficiency in the entire spectrum of General Surgery, he has been concentrating throughout his further career on minimal access and laparoscopic surgery in the reputed Safdarjang Hospital and Lohia Hospital, New Delhi as well as the Christian Medical College, Vellore. He has acquired outstanding experience in his field including laparoscopic cancer surgery, laparoscopic gynecological and urological procedures (including hysterectomy and nephrectomy) and Bariatric (weight-loss) surgery. He is also experienced in thoracoscopic advanced surgery including pneumonectomy and is performing 60-70 major laparoscopic surgery and few open GI surgeries per month at RAK Hospital. He successfully heads the Minimal Invasive Surgery Department at RAK Hospital since 2009 and has done various critical cases like cancer resection, herschsprung disease.
