Biography
Devita Saraf is Chi ef Executi ve Officer of Vu Technol ogies. Devita completed her schooli ng at Queen Mary‟s School and H R College in Mumbai and moved to USA to continue her studies at the University of Southern Cali fornia, where she attained a Bachelor of Business Management degree with a specialization in Marketing. Additionally, Devita has also completed a course in Game Theory and St rategic Thinking from the London School of Economics and one in Management in Technology from University of California, Berkeley. Devita started her career at the early age of 16 when she when she started training under her father at Zeni th Computers. She later went on to become the Director of Marketing for Zenith at the age of 21. While at Zenith, she was responsible for the successful launch strategy for several new products that the company brought to market. In 2006, Devita launched Vu Technologies, Indi a‟s leading purveyor of l uxury i n the LCD and LED television s egment. Over the years, Devita has helped Vu Technologies develop a product range that includes Intelligent TVs, Waterproof LCDs, Car TVs and touch-screen products and has adeptly steered Vu Technologies to claim its place at the fore-front of technology innovations by superbly marrying technology with luxury. In a short span of time Vu Technologies has evolved into luxury technology brand that has won hearts of consumers in India and across the globe. Over the course of her career, Devita has amassed many awards and accol ades. At the age of 26, she won Zee TV‟s Youngest Achiever Award; at 29, named the Indo-American Society‟s Most Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur. She is also the y oungest businesswoman on Indi a Today‟s list of 25 Most Powerful Women in India. Additionally, Devita is deeply involved with policy making and various economic issues facing corporate India through professional trade organizations such as BCCI and CII, amongst others. Devita also has with varied interests in the arts – she is a trained Indian classical dancer, takes an active interest in drama, is an expert at the Ikebana style of bonsai and has also has experience in jewel ry design. Additionally, Devita regularly pens an op-ed column for the online version of the Wall Street Journal and is a member of the international hi -IQ society Mensa.
