Biography
Dr. Tapan Kumar Das has earned his doctorate degree in Political Science from Calcutta University in 2009. He started his academic career as lecturer under UGC sponsored COHSSIP scheme (August 1981 to August 1982) in Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur and part-time lecturer of Shyamaprasad College, (early parts of1982) Kolkata. Simultaneously, he worked as Research Associate under the renowned teachers of the Department of Political Science, University of Calcutta, in early part of 1980s as cited under Research Experience. Later, he joined Kalimpong College, under the University of North Bengal, as full-time lecturer in the Department of Political Science. He spent nearly two decades in the hills of Darjeeling. In 1999, he came back to Kolkata and joined Department of Political Science, Dum Dum Motijheel College. Presently, he is working as the HOD, Department of Political Science in Dum Dum Motijheel College under West Bengal State University.
