Dr. K. K. Bhattacharya has done a Master of Technology in Industrial Management from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and later on he was granted a fellowship of NITIE, Bombay (Equivalent to PhD in Industrial Engineering from National Institute of Industrial Engineering).
