Biography
"After a Master's in Zoology from Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Deemed University, Agra, I joined the Wildlife Institute of India as a Research Biologist in Genetics component in the All India Tiger Monitoring Project in November 2013. Having experienced the importance of genetics in aiding conservation, I continued as a research biologist on the “Genetic connectivity at landscape scales for large carnivores in tiger habitats” project. I am specifically interested in understanding the genetic structure and gene-flow of non-pantherine carnivores, especially Dholes, across India. I’m also interested in the social dynamics and pack structuring of Dholes across the country and as part of my Ph.D, I hope to explore and answer some of these questions."
