Biography
I have done my Master’s in Biotechnology from Dolphin Institute, Dehradun (H. N. B. Garhwal University, Srinagar). During my Master’s, I got an opportunity to learn application of molecular tools in forestry which made me inclined towards exploring different molecular tools and their application in wildlife research and conservation. I joined Wildlife Institute of India as a Research Biologist to study the impact of mining on wildlife. Presently, I am engaged as a Junior Research Fellow studying the phylogenetics and genetic diversity of Crocodiles and turtles. My research interest includes Wildlife Genetics and Evolutionary Biology. My Ph. D. research is focused on studying genetic diversity and understanding the evolutionary relation of Gavialis gangeticus.
