Biography

Biography: Dr. Abhijeet Naik has acquired valuable knowledge in the Paediatric section and rich experience in Paediatric surgery. He is a strong support for Wockhardt Hospitals, South Mumbai. His experience in paediatric surgery has led him to get special expertise in surgeries such as ASD, VSD, TOF and PDA independently. He has also assisted complex heart surgeries like ASO, Norwood, AV canal defects, interrupted arch, Truncus, Fontans and redo surgeries. He is also trained to operate on children weighing up to 1.2 kg.  Experience: Worked in the department of Paediatric Cardiac Surgery at Fortis Paediatric Heart Centre Mumbai (Mulund) since Feb 2011. Special expertise:  Trained to perform surgeries like ASD, VSD, TOF, PDA independently and has assisted complex heart surgeries like ASO, Norwood, AV canal defects, Interrupted arch, Truncus, Fontans, redo surgeries. He is also trained to operate on small kids up to 1.2 kg of weight. Research and publications:  Published a paper – ‘AP WINDOW: A single institution experience’, in Asian Annals in August 2013.
