Biography
MA (Madras); MPhil, PhD (Coimbatore) Economics Dr. LathaRavindran teaches core courses such as, Micro-economics and Macro-economics. A doctorate in Economics, she joined the Institute as a faculty member in 1988.
Research Interest
Carried-out research on various issues in the social sector. Sponsors of studies include UNICEF,CIDA,FAO, UNDP and the World Bank. Currently pursuing research on Displacement, Resettlement and Rehabilitation. Prepared course material on two units namely, (i)Training for Rehabilitation of people displaced due to development projects and (ii) Gender Issues in R&R Projects for IGNOU's web-based course on Displacement, Resettlement & Rehabilitation.
