Biography

Arun H. Patil obtained his M.Sc. degree in Bioinformatics from Sikkim Manipal University. He also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Bioinformatics from the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology, Bangalore. Subsequently, he worked as Research Associate at the same Institute and participated in the analysis of NextGen sequencing (NGS) data obtained from prostate cancer. He is pursuing his Ph.D.degree at the Institute of Bioinformatics in Bangalore and KIIT University in Bubhaneswar, India. He also worked in the Dr. Akhilesh Pandey´s laboratory at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, U.S.A to carry out computational analysis and interpretation of proteomics and next-generation sequencing data. He is involved in the analysis of genomic and proteomic data at YU-IOB Center for Systems Biology and Molecular Medicine, Yenepoya University, Mangalore. He is also teaching concepts of bioinformatics and OMICS data analysis to postgraduate and diploma students.
