Mr. Michael Tsui

Biography

Mr. Michael Tsui is the founder and CEO of Deltason Medical Ltd and Rehab-Robotics Company Ltd. He has almost 20 years of vast experience in medical device industry. With the background of occupational therapist, Mr. Tsui knows exactly what a patient need and he has been dedicated to spearhead new technologies in the field of medical device by introducing high-quality rehabilitation system to Hong Kong. In order to modify the rehabilitation system in local community in terms of language, ergonomic design for Asian and social environment, he studied a Master degree in Automation and Computer-Aided Engineering and work with a team of profession. In 2008, Mr. Tsui has financially supported the research of EMG-driven exoskeleton hand robotic training device through Innovation and Technology Fund. He is also a strong supporter to the Institute for Entrepreneurship of PolyU. He set up Rehab-Robotics Company Ltd. in 2010 to commercialize the device with new trade name, Hand of Hope. This device has gained the Grand Prix Award of the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva and this prize is awarded to Hong Kong-based organization for first time in 40 years. Mr. Tsui is the pioneer to introduce integrated pharmacy automation system to hospitals of Hong Kong. His endeavor has improved the convention pharmacy system in some hospitals by increasing the efficiency and accuracy of drug dispensing. Since 2004, he has been keen on promoting the automated pharmacy system to organizations servicing the community and needy. His effort to improve healthcare system in Hong Kong gains him support among registered pharmacists. In recognition of his immeasurable contribution to the healthcare industry in Hong Kong, Mr Tsui has been bestowed with the “Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award” in 2013. From a registered occupational therapist to a successful entrepreneur, Mr. Tsui always remembers his responsibility and duty to society. He is a long-term supporter of the elderly ministry in hospitals. Not only supporting in term of financial, he also uses his possible resources to develop social responsibility in his organizations by encouraging his people to participate in voluntary service during office hours.
