Biography
Rich Acevedo is a highly accomplished, results-oriented engineering leader with over 20 years in the medical device industry. Skilled in all phases of product commercialization, he brings a hands-on and intuitive approach to problem solving to the organization. Prior to Insurgical, Rich managed product development at Integra Life Sciences (formerly Ascension Orthopedics) leading development of multiple lower extremity products both prior to and post-acquisition of Ascension. Earlier in his career, Rich spent time at Smith and Nephew, Johnson & Johnson as well as Boston Scientific in senior design and development roles. Rich’s experience in both small company, entrepreneurial settings as well as with large, multinational medical device organizations has been critical in the product development maturation of Insurgical. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Florida International University.
