Biography
Mr Kong Chin Yang is the Assistant Division Head, Operations since February 2015. He oversees front end departments including Business Office, Customer Service, Café, Bakery, as well as the important back end functions of Inpatient Kitchen and Facilities Management and Support Services. He was previously the Manager of the CEO Office before assuming this role. After graduating from National University of Singapore (NUS) with a degree in Bio-medical Engineering, he joined Mahkota in 2009. Since then, he has taken on different portfolios in the hospital, allowing him to have a first-hand experience of hospital operations from the bottom up, including clinical departments (day procedure unit), quality assurance, branding, diagnostic imaging, and working on various major hospital projects – in areas of renovation and strategic planning.
Research Interest
His current portfolio requires him to work on the improvement of the patient experience, as well as to strengthen and systemise the important backend departments, to ensure the safe and pleasant experience of our patients and visitors.
