Hedayatollah Ghourchian was born in 1958. After receiving his MSc. in analytical chemitry, he participated in Enzyme Technology Training Course, in Japan. Thereafter he joined the group of Professor Naoki Kamo as a PhD student and received his Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of pharmaceutical Sciences, Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan in 1995. He is expert in bioanalysis and biosensors and at the present is working as a professor at Department of Biophysics, Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, University of Tehran. His research focuses mainly on: a) design and fabricating different types of biosensors, b) design and developing the enzyme or microbial biofuel cells, c) synthesis of nanodrugs and recently artificial nanozymes.
