Ali Masoudi Nejad
Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics
Ali Masoudi-Nejad received his Ph.D. in genomics from Kyoto University, Japan. He then did his first Post-Doc with Prof. Robbie Waugh at James Hutton Institute in Scotland and Prof. Paul H. Dear from MRC-LMB, Cambridge, UK. He returned to the Kyoto University and did two consecutive Post-Docs with Prof. Minoru Kanehisa, co-founder of GenBank and founder of KEGG (https://www.kanehisa.jp/en/kanehisa.html) in bioinformatics and systems biology. He then returned to Iran and founded the Laboratory of Systems Biology and Bioinformatics, LBB (https://LBB.ut.ac.ir) at University of Tehran. He is now associate professor of systems biology.
His main research interest focuses on computational systems biology, analysis of biological networks, network motif, RNAi pathway integration, cancer modeling, signaling pathway and genome-scale kinetic modeling.
