Dr. Kafia M.surchi

Biography

Prof. Kafia M. Surchi has 41 years’ experience in Chemistry in the field of environmental chemistry and has published extensively more than 66 papers in different international Scientific Journals and conferences world-wide. She had different academic posts such as: the head of Chemistry department) at the College of Education and college of Science - Salahaddin University, Biochemistry department in the college of Medicine - Hawler Medical University and the dean of the college of Nursing, Hawler Medical University from 2004 – 2010.  She has also acted as external examiner for MSc and PhD Viva and supervised 13Msc and 4 PhD students. Currently she is supervising a research team from college of scienc, salahaddin university and college of Pharmacy, Hawler Medical University via collaboration with research team supervised by Associate Prof. Dr Ali Hassanpour, School of Chemical and Process Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Leeds in the field of green and sustainable procedure for catalyst synthesis to be applied in pharmaceutical preparations and producing liquid oil from locally available materials
