Mr. Vipul Shah

Biography

 Vipul Shah is the Chief Operating Officer, Petrochemicals at Reliance Industries Limited, located at Mumbai, India. Vipul began his career with Reliance Industries Limited in India and joined Dow in 1988. He was named Country Manager for the Indian subsubcontinent in 1992. In his 26 years with Dow, Vipul has held various positions. In 1999, Vipul moved to Hong Kong as Marketing Director, Pacific region and later moved to Horgen, Switzerland as Commercial Director for the functional solutions and surfactants business for Dow Europe and Pacific. Vipul was named Managing Director and CEO of Dow Chemical International Private Limited (Dow India), and returned to Mumbai in 2004. In 2007, Vipul was appointed Business Vice President for the Chloro-Vinyl for Dow in the United States, a business that includes Caustic, Ethylene Dichloride (EDC), and Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM). In 2010, he returned to the region in Singapore as President , South East Asia and India, providing leadership and geographic oversight for implementing Dow's geographic business objectives and reinforcing the company's new portfolio and transformational operating model. He returned to India in 2011 as President, CEO and Chairman of Dow India. Vipul has also served as Chairperson of the Management Committee for the Chlorine Chemistry Division of the American Chemistry Council (ACC). Vipul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Polymer Science from the University of Texas, Austin, United States.
