Biography
John P. Stott is group vice president, Finance, and corporate controller of Archer Daniels Midland Company. As such, he is responsible for the company’s external and management accounting and reporting processes, internal control functions, global tax, and ADM’s insurance and risk management department. John joined ADM in 1992 and has held a number of accounting and finance positions in Europe and North America. Prior to being appointed vice president and controller in 2006, he served as operations controller and as European finance director, based in Hamburg, Germany. Before joining ADM, Stott spent five years with Continental Grain Company in London, England. Stott completed his accounting qualifications in the UK, studying with the Association of Accounting Technicians and then the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, where today he continues to serve as a fellow member.
