Biography
Mr. Winters is CEO and a board member of Standard Chartered, based in London. He also serves on the board of Colgate University in the United States, and on the boards of the International Rescue Committee, the Young Vic theater and the Print Room theater in the United Kingdom. Mr. Winters received his bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and his Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in the US. He previously ran Renshaw Bay, an alternative asset management firm, and was co-CEO of JPMorgan’s investment bank from 2003 to 2010. He joined JPMorgan in 1983 and has held management roles across several market areas and in corporate finance. Additionally, he was a commissioner on the UK Independent Commission on Banking in 2010 and 2011, and was awarded the title of Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2013.
