Biography
Richard Pops serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alkermes. He joined Alkermes as CEO in 1991. Under his leadership, Alkermes has grown from a privately held company with 25 employees to an international, publicly traded biopharmaceutical company with more than 2,000 employees. Alkermes has a diversified commercial product portfolio and a substantial clinical pipeline of central nervous system (CNS) product candidates. Mr. Pops currently serves on the Board of Directors of Neurocrine Biosciences, Acceleron Pharma, Epizyme, the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) and the National Health Council.
