Biography
Dr. Lindsay Sun is currently in the Global Scientific Affairs group, Diagnostics Division, Beckman Coulter, Inc. Lindsay Sun went to Shanghai Medical University, and spent 7 years in a unique physician-scientist dual-degree program. She received her M.D. in 1999 and M.S. degree in 2001. During her fellowship, she participated in clinical research in metabolic syndrome. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and practiced Clinical Endocrinology for 5 years at Zhongshan Hospital Shanghai Medical University in China. She subsequently went on to study at North Carolina State University and received her M.S. degree in Statistics. In 2009, she joined Beckman Coulter as the medical affair manager for Beckman Coulter China in chemistry and Immunoassay for over 3 years, during which time she provided valuable clinical expertise to Beckman Coulter’s Women’s Health campaign. She initiated and designed clinical research on women’s health, troponin, thyroid function in pregnant women, prostate cancer, anemia of chronic disease, and etc. She was invited to act as chief editor for clinical medicine columns. She also lectured extensively on topics regarding clinical applications of Beckman Coulter’s immunoassay products. In 2013, she moved to the United States and has worked as a senior scientific affairs manager for Beckman Coulter USA. Her interest includes women’s health, metabolic syndrome, thyroid disease and cardiology.
