Biography
Dr. FitzGerald is a graduate of NUIG (1989) and has spent the last 20 years working in the USA as a Gynaecologist with a special interest in Surgical Urogynaecology. Until this year she has been Director of Gynaecology at a Veterans Affairs Hospital in Chicago, and while in Chicago Dr FitzGerald was Professor of Obstetrics/Gynaecology and Urology at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine Dr. Fitzgerald will provide general gynaecology services, in addition to a strong interest in collaborative treatment of urinary and bowel incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, recurrent urinary tract infection, painful bladder syndrome and chronic pelvic pain. She has additional expertise in the use of medical acupuncture for treatment of chronic conditions such as neuropathy and musculoskeletal pain.
