Biography
Richard Comer is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon. He graduated from NUIG and subsequently trained at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, UK. He became a Fellow of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London and was awarded an MD from the Imperial College London for his research thesis on corneal transplantation. He did further sub specialised training in London and Vancouver, Canada before moving home to Galway. His specialist interests include cataract surgery, strabismus, oculoplastics, glaucoma, medical retinal and paediatric ophthalmology.
