Biography
Dr Gibbs is a consultant in Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine and he has been practicing in Galway since 2007. He is a Galway graduate and did his training and research on the Irish Specialist Registrar Scheme in Rheumatology. He is a clinical rheumatologist working in full time private practice. He has a special interest in inflammatory arthritis, soft tissue and sports injuries, fibromyalgia and back pain. He is involved in a busy infusion unit and provides a wide ranging joint and soft tissue injection service. He runs his practice on the rapid access model to ensure all patients are seen in a timely manner. He is involved in medical teaching, writes regularly for the medical press and he is a current member of the Irish Society for Rheumatology.
