Biography
Since 1987 Dr Gilliland has held a Clinical Academic appointment in the Medical School at Queen’s University Belfast. He divides his time between being a part-time GP Principal in Belfast and a Senior Lecturer in the Centre for Medical Education. He is the Lead for Assessment in the undergraduate medical course and also has a key role in facilitating medical students with disabilities. His main teaching input is in Years 4 and 5 of the course, including the cancer studies module.
