Biography
Dr. Qi Zhang received her B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature at Sun Yat-sen University, P.R.China, M.A. in Translation at Durham University and Ph.D. in Linguistics at Newcastle University. She joined Dublin City University in 2011 as the coordinator for Chinese modules. Her teaching ranges from translation modules, e.g. Chinese Economic Translation, Chinese Scientific/Technical Translation, to language and cultural modules, e.g. Chinese Language for Beginners, Chinese Literature and Film.

Sociolinguistics, Translation and interpreting, Applied linguistics, Intercultural communication .
