Biography
Ciara is a lecturer in the Department of Building Services in the Faculty of the Built Environment in the Dublin Institute of Technology, Bolton Street. Ciara holds a Masters Degree in Renewable Energy and Energy Management from Ulster University and Diploma in Project Management from Trinity. Ciara is published in the area of energy efficiency and buildings and acts as a reviewer for the journals ‘Energy and Buildings’ and ‘Energy Policy’. Other research interests include simulation in building design, passive building design, small scale renewable and heat pumps. Ciara has participated in European Research projects in the area of heating systems optimization, is a NSAI committee member and an active participant on the Building Services Committee. Ciara also acts as a subject matter expert on the Leargas Transfer of Innovation Assessor Panel.
