Biography
He has over 30 years experience in research science and has published over 300 peer reviewed journal and conference papers. He has been responsible for over €25 million in funded projects, including PRTLI Cycles 1,4 and 5 an well as SFI, EI and EU projects and has over 20 years of experience in the management and development of research infrastructure. He has supervised over 30 PhD students.
Research Interest
Principal research interests are in applications of spectroscopy and the study of molecular and nano-materials, and biospectroscopy for diagnostics, cytological analysis and nano-bio interactions.
