Biography
Michael Conlon received the degree of DipEE/BSc from Kevin Street College of Technology (DIT) in 1982. He obtained a MEngSc from the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) in 1984 and a PhD in 1987, also from NUIG. The topic of the PhD research thesis was the electromagnetic transient modelling and analysis of power transformer windings.
Research Interest
Power systems analysis, including transient and dynamic analysis of power systems; simulation and control of power systems; electromagnetic transient analysis; applications of superconductivity in power systems; power systems economics; power systems reliability analysis including cost of reliability; quality of supply.
