Biography
Keith Sunderland is an electrical engineer graduating from DIT with a first class honours degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. He is a member of the Power Research Group as well as Dublin Energy Lab and his research focuses on the application of micro generation technologies. More specifically, his interests are with respect to urban wind profiling and network tolerance to increased technology proliferation and his PhD research is in collaboration with the School of Geography, Planning & Environmental Policy at University College Dublin . Formerly an electrician with Ianróid Éireann, he is currently Assistant Head of Department Electrical Services Engineering (Acting) within the School of Electrical Engineering Systems. He is a member of Technical Council 2, Electro-Technical Council of Ireland (ETCI) whose primary task is the publication of the National Rules for Electrical Installations in Ireland and is also a committee member of the RoI section of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineering (CIBSE)
