Biography
Richard P. Schwarz Jr., PhD is an expert in the discovery and development of novel cardiovascular therapeutics. He has 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry and in government service. Dr. Schwarz held the position of Deputy Chief, Extramural Cardiology Branch, at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NIH) from 1979-1982, and served as Global Director of the Cardiovascular Clinical Development Program at the Sterling Research Group, Sterling Drug, Inc. from 1982-1990.
