Biography
Mr. Eric Cornut served as an Interim Director General of The European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations. since September 2016 until April 2017. Mr. Cornut is an Independent Consultant based in Basel, Switzerland. Mr. Cornut served as Chief Ethics, Compliance and Policy Officer of Novartis AG from August 2014 to 2016. In this role, Mr. Cornut led the Integrity & Compliance and the Public Affairs functions where he was responsible for strengthening compliance and public policy for Novartis. Previously, he served as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Novartis Pharmaceuticals from 2012 to 2014 where he was responsible for Global Product Strategy and Commercialization. He has more than 25 years of pharmaceutical management experience. He also successfully brought innovative therapies in dermatology and heart failure to patients. Earlier, he led Pharma Region Europe for 6 years where he oversaw the operations of affiliates in 35 countries with approximately 9,000 associates.
