Optimisation and Control
I received the M.Sc. Degrees from ENTPE (Ecole Nationale des Travaux Publics de l'Etat) and INSA (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées), Lyon, France, in 2010, and the Ph.D. Degree from the University of Lyon, France, in 2013. Prior to joining IBM, I was with Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, as a research fellow. I was also with the Transport Services Quality Authority, Ministry of Transport, Paris, France, as a data analyst, with the Smart Transport Research Centre, Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia, with the California Center for Innovative Transportation, University of California, Berkeley, USA, and with the Advanced Mobility Research Center, the University of Tokyo, Japan, as a visiting researcher. I was awarded the 2014 Abertis national research Prize in France and the 2014 Abertis international research Prize for best doctoral thesis in transport engineering.
At IBM, I am developing algorithms for automotive, smart mobility and IoT applications. Namely my current work focuses on: Design of stable control algorithms for the acceleration control of connected/automated vehicles. This work is situated at the intersection of control and traffic theory. Online estimation of the behaviour of the driver, both at the vehicle and network level, using AI techniques. Use of traffic models for data assimilation and control applications, at any scale of the transport network. Design of algorithms for smart mobility and intelligent transport systems applications. I am currently looking into risk modelling, queue-based traffic light control, ride-sharing systems.
