Biography
John Scanlan is co-founder of Inflection Biosciences and a non-executive director. He has broad experience and skills in innovation and commercialisation, IP development and exploitation, strategy, leadership and management. He is currently the Director of Commercialisation at Maynooth University, leading a technology transfer consortium which focuses on exploiting university developed technologies. Previously, Scanlan was CTO of Straatum a software and hardware supplier to the semiconductor industry, spun out from his PhD thesis and sold to Lam Research in California. He is inventor on 7 granted patents and author of 10 publications. He has consulted to several companies and public entities on innovation and commercialisation and was a member of the Innovation Taskforce intellectual property implementation team to develop a National IP Policy. He has served on the board of several private companies.
