Biography
Berns has served as a member of our board of directors since June 2010. Mr. Berns is a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry. From March 2014 to June 2016, he served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Anacor Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, which was acquired by Pfizer Inc. in June 2016. He also served as a member of the board of directors of Anacor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2012 until 2016, including as Chairman of its board of directors from 2013 until 2016. From September 2012 to March 2014, he was a self-employed consultant to the pharmaceutical industry
