Biography

Dr. Steve Kerrigan is an honours graduate in B.Sc Pharmacology from King's College University of London, UK (1996) and obtained an M.Sc in Immunopharmacology from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland (1997). He received a PhD in Infectious diseases specifically investigating platelet-bacterial interactions from RCSI in 2001. Following this he carried out postdoctoral research in the University of California, San Francisco, USA (2001-2003). Upon his return to Ireland Dr. Kerrigan was awarded the prestigious Health Research Board Postdoctoral Fellowship (2005-2008). Dr. Kerrigan was appointed lecturer in Pharmacology in the School of Pharmacy upon completion of his fellowship in 2008 and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2013.
