Rodney E. Rishel

Biography

 Rod Rishel serves as Chief Executive Officer, Life, Health and Disability (LHD), AIG Consumer Insurance since February of 2016, holding end to end accountability for the LHD business.  Before this, Rod had served in many roles since joining AIG in March of 2005, with most recent being U.S. Head of Life, Health and Disability Insurance, Americas, where he was responsible for the overall Life, Health, and Disability business strategies and P&L for the Americas region. Previously, he served in roles of increasing responsibility for AIGLR, including Vice President of Fixed Life Products; Senior Vice President, Product Development; and Chief Financial Officer, Life and A & H. Prior to joining AIG, Rod served as Universal Life Business Leader and Term Product Manager for Genworth Financial in Lynchburg, Virginia. Before that time, he spent three years at CNA in variable product development and management roles. Rod began his insurance career as a Pricing Actuary for Union Central Life Insurance Company in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he spent eight years.Rod holds a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries designation and is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
