Biography
Dr Conroy graduated in Medicine in 1976. He is a past President of the Irish Pain Society. He is also a Past President of the South of Ireland Association of Anaesthetists and a consultant to the Mercy University Hospital, Cork, Ireland. Since 2008, Dr Conroy has been a Foundation Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the College of Anaesthetists and was also elected as Honorary Secretary. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Surgery(Anaesthesia) in University College, Cork and is an Examiner in the Final Medical Examinations. He has served as examiner in the Primary Fellowship Examination of the College of Anaesthetists in Ireland and as an overseas examiner in the Primary FFARSCI from 1998-2008. He is also currently an examiner in the Diploma and Fellowship examinations in Pain Medicine for the College of Anaesthetists of Ireland (CARSCI).
