Biography
Pauline Garvey is senior lecturer in anthropology. She completed a BA in University College Dublin and M.Phil in Archaeology (British Academy Scholar in University of Cambridge, UK, 1994) before becoming a doctoral candidate in Anthropology in University College London. Her doctoral research was completed 2002 and she has been a tenured faculty member in Maynooth since 2003. Her research interests include material culture and Nordic domesticity, domestic exhibitions (housing theatre) in 20th century Sweden, design anthropology and the politics surrounding ethnographic collections in Ireland.
