Michael Guerin

Biography

 Michael Guerin graduated with a BSc (Hons) Pharmacy degree from Brighton School of Pharmacy in 1986 and after successfully completing his pre registration year, registered as a pharmacist in 1987. He acquired his first pharmacy in 1988 in Bradbury Place, Belfast and has since overseen the growth of the Group to the position today where it incorporates 24 pharmacies trading under the MediCare Pharmacy name. Since registering as a pharmacist, Michael has played a leading role in most of the pharmacy professional bodies which decide and negotiate the future direction and role of pharmacy in N. Ireland. He is a member and past Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Contractors Committee and past Chairman of the EHSSB Area Pharmaceutical Advisory Committee as well as being a member of the Professional Advisory Panel to Glaxo SmithKline Plc and a member of the Pharmaceutical Standards Working Group. Michael is also a director on the board of the National Pharmaceutical Association representing the interests of Pharmacy in N. Ireland.

Research Interest

 Since registering as a pharmacist, Michael has played a leading role in most of the pharmacy professional bodies which decide and negotiate the future direction and role of pharmacy in N. Ireland.
