Biography

Geoff Martha was named Executive Vice President and President for the Restorative Therapies Group in June, 2015, and serves as a member of the Company's Executive Committee. Geoff has global responsibility for the company’s Spine and Biologics, Neuromodulation, Surgical Technologies and Orthopedics business units. He provides overall strategic direction and operational management of the Group’s four divisions, as well as leading the integration of the Group’s activities within the overall strategy of Medtronic. Previously, Geoff had responsibility for leading the development of Medtronic's global strategic plan, business development and acquisition integration for the company. Geoff also serves as a member of the Company's Executive Committee. As lead of Strategy and Business Development, Geoff helped engineer the acquisition of Covidien, a $10 billion global manufacturer of surgical products and supplies. The acquisition of Covidien was the largest medical technology acquisition in the history of the industry. In July 2014, he was named Chief Integration Officer to lead the integration of Covidien into Medtronic.
