Biography
Prof. Kevin Kavanagh graduated with a BSc (Joint Honours) degree in Biology and Chemistry and undertook a PhD in Microbiology. He undertook postdoctoral research in projects in Maynooth and University of Kuwait, and the National Cell and Tissue Culture Centre in Dublin City University. He was appointed as a Lecturer in 1995 and promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2002. Currently he is Director and CSO of Beemune Ltd - a NUI Maynooth spin-out company. He was appointed as a visiting Lecturer in Medical Mycology at Queen's University Belfast in 2009
