Biography
Dr. Aaron Liew was appointed as a Consultant Physician in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine at Portiuncula University Hospital and Galway University Hospital, and a Senior Lecturer in Endocrinology at National University of Galway (NUIG) in November 2015. Dr. Liew is also an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer at the Graduate Entry Medical School, University of Limerick and the Local Training Lead for Portiuncula University Hospital, Basic Specialist Training (General Internal Medicine).
Research Interest
Dr. Liew’s current research interests focus on the management of diabetes mellitus and its related vascular complications, in particularly regenerative medicine with cell therapy and gene therapy as well as anti-thrombotic therapy for venous and arterial thrombosis.
