Biography
Dr Amanda Slevin is a sociologist, educator and qualitative researcher who joined the School of Political Science and Sociology, NUI Galway in February 2017. With a background in community development, adult literacy and community education (face to face and virtual delivery), Amanda has worked in higher education since 2010. Amanda is a member of the School's Teaching and Learning Committee and is involved in the development of the new BSc in Applied Social Sciences and the MA in Politics and Sociology.
Research Interest
Amanda’s research interests include state hydrocarbon management, Irish political economy, environmental sustainability, ideology and resource management, transformative education and community activism.
