Biography
Dr Frances Fahy is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Geography at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Frances is an environmental geographer and she has published more than > 70 publications including two edited volumes (published by Sage, 2013, Routledge, 2014) and numerous peer reviewed articles in journals such as Global Environmental Change, Area, Nature and Culture, and Journal of Consumer Policy. Dr Fahy has coordinated > 16 funded research projects and is the coordinator and lead of the Horizon 2020 project, ENERGISE ‘European Network for Research, Good Practice and Innovation for Sustainable Energy’. She is currently leading nine other partners across Europe on this 3.7 million Euro social science research project which aims to provide an understanding of the factors driving individual and collective energy choices and practices across Europe.
