Biography
Dr. Maura Farrell is currently a full time lecturer and Director of the MA in Rural Sustainability within the Discipline of Geography, NUI Galway. Maura completed her primary Bachelor of Arts Degree in NUI Galway and achieved a First Class Honours Degree in the Higher Diploma in Education. Following a post primary teaching career, Maura returned to NUI Galway, having been awarded a Teagasc Walsh Fellowship for PhD research in the area of Agricultural Change and Rural Development.
Research Interest
Maura's research background is in Rural Geography, with a primary focus on the nature of agricultural change and rural development.
