Biography
Philip Dine is a Personal Professor and Head of French at the National University of Ireland, Galway. He is the author of Images of the Algerian War: French Fiction and Film, 1954-1992 (Oxford, Clarendon Press/OUP, 1994). He has published widely on representations of the French colonial empire, including particularly decolonisation, in fields ranging from children’s literature to professional sport.
