Biography
Mike Spanos is President and Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo Greater China Region. In its global portfolio of food and beverage brands, PepsiCo has 22 different brands that generate more than $1 billion each in annual retail sales. Mike, a 24-year PepsiCo veteran, was appointed to his current role in September 2014 to assume responsibility for PepsiCo Greater China Region’s overall business across beverages, foods and dairy. Prior to this assignment, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer for PepsiCo North America Beverages for three years, responsible for the retail commercial and strategic selling agenda. Mike began his PepsiCo career as a Territory sales manager and Unit manager in the Philadelphia Market Unit (MU). He progressed through several leadership positions, including Director of retail sales and Vice President/General Manager for the Eastern Virginia MU, Country Manager for Turkey, Vice President of retail sales for the Northeast Business Unit (BU), Vice President/General Manager for the Florida MU, and Senior Vice President and General Manager for the West Business Unit. Before joining PepsiCo, Mike served in the United States Marines Corps from 1987-1993.Mike is a graduate of the US Naval Academy with a BS in history. He received his MS in Organizational Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania.
