Biography
Alberto Recordati graduated in Biochemistry at the King's College of the University of London in 1977 and in 1984 he obtained a Ph.D. in the Biochemistry Department of the Charing Cross Hospital Medical School of the same university. He joined Recordati in 1984 as a researcher in biochemical laboratories. In 1987 he was appointed Head of the Planning and Product Development Office. From 1990 to 1992 he worked at the US subsidiary Pharmetrix Corp. as coordinator of research projects. In 1992 he was assigned the Industrial Biochemistry Department with responsibility for the biochemical / microbiological research and the biochemical / fermentative production site of Cassina de 'Pecchi. In 1995 he became Director of the Research and Chemical Technology Division. In 1999 he was appointed CEO of the fine chemical sector and in 2004 Vice President of Recordati SpA. Since 2008 he has been entrusted with the coordination of the activities of the "Drug Discovery" and "Drug Development" divisions of the Company and from 2011 also of the Licensing activities. in. In 2016 he was appointed President.
