Luca Rovati

Biography

Mr. Luca Rovati joined Rottapharm in 1985. He is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, where he is responsible for directing and supervising our administrative, financial and management control activities. From 1986 to 2004, he was the Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of Italian operations. With effect as from the Trading Date, he will act as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of the Group. Before joining Rottapharm, he started his career in the industry at Rorer Pharmaceuticals Inc. in the United States. At Rottapharm, he managed the acquisition of the Italian companies Laboratori Guieu (2000), Biochimici PSN (2005) and the German company Madaus Pharma (2007). He also acts as Sole Director of RRL Immobiliare S.p.A. and Vice Chairman of Greentech Energy Systems A/S. Since 2013 he has been Director of MTP S.p.A. and Pirelli & C. S.p.A. He has also been lecturer in Managerial Finance at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan for nearly 10 years. He holds an economics degree in Business Administration from the Bocconi University of Milan.
