Research Interest
My lab is interested in the role of Sestrin gene family in cell signaling, metabolism and human diseases. We have previously characterised the stress activated Sestrins as a potent regulators of mTOR kinase responsible for control of metabolism and ageing. Currently we are studying the connection of Sestrin activation with age-related human diseases using biochemical, cell based and animal based approaches.
